• Help for Harvey, Irma, & Maria!

Our thoughts are with the victims of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria which have left thousands without the basic necessities. We have yet to know the total effect of these disasters, however the Theosophical Order of Service and Theosophical Society in America are working together to collect funds for future disbursement. Please remember 100% of your donation will go to the impacted area as the TOS is an all volunteer organization. Thank you for your generous donation. Please use the Donate button above.

  • Golden Link College

Donate $20 or more to the Golden Link College. Here’s Why:

Since its inception fifteen years ago, the Golden Link College (GLC) has provided quality education to disadvantaged children. In an environment that encourages theosophical principles such as no discrimination of any kind, peace, harmony, compassion, and a sense of well-being, children (and the adults who teach the children and work at the school) become “socially responsible, morally upright, and spiritually sensitive individuals.” These are qualities many children do not receive in regular educational settings which is what makes the Golden Link College such a rare gem. GLC is theosophy is in action.

Changes on the Horizon

Ananya Sri Ram Rajan

Happy spring!

It is said that change is inevitable. We see this with the weather patterns, in technology, with what is “in” and what is “out,” and we see it in society as a whole. In the US we are facing changes in our governmental administration and what it decides to focus upon. The possible decrease in funding for the environment, healthcare, social welfare, education, and other areas means that even greater stress will be placed on non-profits (NPOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), who will be left to figure out how to best help those who are in need. This puts the TOS in a unique position. Read more about Changes on the Horizon

The college serves the Pine Ridge Reservation which is situated in one of the poorest counties in the US. Many of the students awarded scholarships in the past have driven over 100 miles to be able to attend classes while working a full time job and having to care for a family.  This year's recipient is Kristina Iron Cloud. Here is Kristina's letter of thanks. Read more about Meet Kristina Iron Cloud

Earth Day 2017

Have you ever stopped and thought about the fact that everything you use comes from the Earth?

This Earth Day will be unlike any other since its inception in 1970. Rallies and marches will take place around the world to drawn attention to the need for “evidence-based policy making and inclusivity in the science community.” Started as a conversation on the social media site Reddit, March for Science will bring together scientists, lovers of science, and sympathizers from around the world to raise awareness about the need for science to be taken as it is: a tool that uses objective means to study issues and find solutions to today’s problems, climate change being one of them.
