    The TOS Healing Network is a free service that practitioners provide to contribute to the positive energy of an individual. This helps the healee’s body find its own balance which leads to healing. Recipients of healing have reported feeling calmer as well as having a more positive outlook. Patients who have been recipients of energetic healing have reported fewer complications during surgery and a decreased recovery time afterwards.

Denver TOS Christmas Project

Denver TS/TOS members showed some love to the cats and kittens cared for at an extraordinary local shelter, the Cat Care Society.  Founded in the 1980's by a veterinarian, the Cat Care Society takes in all cats, no matter how old or sick they may be.  None are turned away, and none are kept in cages.  Cats roam free in large rooms, some of which offer adjacent outdoor enclosures called "catios."  Members donated cat food, a bed, toys, treats, litter, cash, and a pheromone diffuser which helps to calm cats and promote serenity in situations such as shelter life which can be stressful for man

CHUSHUL HOME CLOSED

The Theosophical Order of Service recently learned that the Chushul Home for orphaned Tibetan children has indeed been closed by the Chinese (see the following letter). The children are still together however which should lessen any trama they may be experiencing by leaving their home of many years. Our contact with Chushul writes "I am looking into other opportunities to help the Tibetan people, particularly orphaned children, as well as continuing to look after my Chushul Family. I consider you [the TOS] to be a part of the Chushul Family and will keep you informed." [node:read-more:link]

THE THEOSOPHICAL ORDER OF SERVICE SIGNS THE CHARTER FOR COMPASSION

                      

The Theosophical Order of Service has joined the International TOS and other TOS sections around the world in signing the CHARTER FOR COMPASSION. Signers of The Charter For Compassion encourage a world where everyone is committed to living by the principle of compassion. Signers pledge to work toward building a more compassionate world. The TOS joins with many other individuals, organizations and cities that have been inspired by the Charter For Compassion to work in diverse ways to create cultures of compassion locally and globally.  [node:read-more:link]

I'm having a ball (and wishing you were here) attending the 127th Summer National Convention of the Theosophical Society in America, to be followed in a few days by the TOS International Convention 2013. I'm surrounded by dedicated TS and TOS workers from around the country, and from around the world. Inspiration abounds as we share ideas and stories of service from our local groups.
