Announcing the TOS Meditative Action Network!
We’re delighted to announce the launch of a new TOS initiative: the Meditative Action Network! This is a group of committed volunteers who agree to meditate at least once per month on a situation in the world that needs light and resolution for the highest good of all concerned. The meditation is designed to invoke the working out of Highest Will, never a specific outcome. In this way, we remove personal opinions and agendas, and avoid making mistakes based on our inherently limited view of the world.
While it’s easy to become overwhelmed by world events and feel that we are powerless to change things, nothing could be further from the truth. Theosophy teaches that our thoughts are powerful and creative. More powerful still is when people join their thoughts together for a united purpose. When a group of people think together in a focused way for Highest Good, they invoke the aid of higher planes. Most powerful of all is when the people in the group work with purposeful intent, knowing what they are doing and exactly why they are doing it.
Participants in the network will receive one or two emails per month with a situation in the world that needs light and positive intent. The wording is provided, or they may use their own wording, as long as they meditate only for the highest possible outcome and not for a specific resolution. They can perform the meditation once or as many times as they like over the following weeks, at times that are convenient for them. As with any email list, participants can unsubscribe at any time. In her book, “Thought Power,” Annie Besant referred to the power of our thoughts as one of the “great forces that lie within us all” and she concluded that we can choose to use these forces to the best possible effect. Doing that, she says, will cause these forces within us to grow and become even more powerful over time. She concludes by offering us a momentous choice:
Choose well; for your choice
Is brief and yet endless.
